In his nearly 20 years in IT, Mike has held roles as a software architect, head of software development, global technology strategist, and his current role as director of e-commerce systems for Crate and Barrel. In this role Mike leads teams of developers and architects to produce world-class e-commerce experiences for one of America’s iconic retail brands.
He recently led the effort to migrate hosting to Amazon Web Services and is spearheading the move to a cloud-first architecture. Upcoming enhancements will include the introduction of micro services and a streamlined deployment pipeline to strengthen devops. Organizational development is another top priority as Mike continuously seeks to improve Crate and Barrel’s agile methodology. The introduction of pair programming, test-driven development and continuous integration are just a few of such initiatives under his guidance.
